The welder fabricator is required to work to Lloyds quality standards set out in Work Orders and use specific technical expertise where necessary. The job holder will have technical responsibility for a particular aspect of the vessels construction. Take responsibility for assembling and welding frames structural members and the vessel shell plating in accordance with the processes referenced in the welding schedule and technical drawings. Operate fabrication machinery including bending folding machines guillotines pillar drills reciprocating saws and associated fixed fabrication machines. Competant in the use of fabrication workshop plant such as overhead cranes and lift aids laser alignment equipment Mewps and other associated equipment.
